Updated Terms and Conditions: Get IT Done Alaska

Effective Date: March 25, 2026

1. SERVICE SCOPE & DISPATCH THRESHOLDS

Services include automated and on-demand Snow Plowing and Roof Shoveling/Vent Clearing.

  • Gold Pass: Automated dispatch for plowing and roof monitoring at 1-inch (1") of accumulation.

  • Silver Pass: Automated dispatch at 2-inches (2").

  • Standard/On-Demand: Dispatch at 3-inches (3") or via customer request.

  • Roof Services: Shoveling is triggered based on accumulation depth or at the Customer's request to prevent ice damming and structural stress.

2. WEATHER DATA & CONTINGENCY

GID utilizes National Weather Service (NWS) API data as the primary trigger for services.

  • API Downtime Fallback: If NWS data is unavailable, GID will use Manual On-Site Observations and Photo Documentation (Start/Completion photos) as the definitive record for service justification and billing.

3. SMS & ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS (TCPA COMPLIANCE)

By providing a phone number and enrolling in services, the Customer provides express written consent to receive automated text messages (SMS) and emails from GID.

  • Types of Alerts: "Crew En Route," "Arrival," "Work Completed" (with photo links), and "Invoice Ready" notifications.

  • Frequency: Message frequency varies based on weather events.

  • Opt-Out: Customers may opt-out by replying "STOP" at any time, though this may result in a loss of real-time service updates.

4. ROOF SERVICE SPECIFIC LIABILITY

  • Ice Dams: While shoveling reduces risk, GID does not guarantee the prevention of ice dams or leaks caused by extreme temperature fluctuations.

  • Appurtenances: GID is not liable for damage to satellite dishes, heat tapes, or vents that are not clearly marked or visible through snow.

  • Safety: To ensure staff safety, GID reserves the right to delay roof services during high-wind events or extreme sub-zero temperatures.

5. AUTOMATED PAYMENTS & RECORD LOCKING

  • Stripe: Payments are processed via Stripe. Customers authorize GID to charge the card on file upon job completion.

  • Integrity: Once a job is "Approved for Invoice" by an admin, the record is locked to ensure an immutable audit trail for both parties.
